Having seen Prince at the O2 (on numerous occasions during his residency), you brought back memories for me when you played 'Guitar', and I loved Sexy M*therf*cker as the main man doesn't sing these songs anymore. Date: 06th May 2009 Name: Justin & Alexa Comments: My wife and I have had 'the pleasure' of watching you guys do your thang, and were recently party to a very special, and intimate gig you performed. The response was emotional shall we say, not only are Tony T, Jacki, Dougie Fresh, J.Love and Davey Bynoe some of the most talented musicians I have seen perform - but equally some of the kindest, most generous, funny and warm people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Yes they perform Prince & TR like they were in the room, yes they are all accomplished musicians - but they are more importantly the most perfect professionals, and nobody can resist their charm. Thank you for making my day just recently, both Alexa and I are in your debt - and we both look forward to watching you all go from strength to strength. Not a fan of his new stuff but my sister Michelle loves all of it. You were phenominal. Never thought a tribute band could be so good. Date: 29th Apr 2009 Name: james d aka xbowie Comments: came to see you at the Flowerpot in Derby last friday..you was awesome,ive seen many bands there and you defo top 5 acts ive seen there...well impressed,seent he purple one 23 times over the years,,you did his work proud..as a unit you was fabulous,im a big fan of tribute bands and they have a massive place in the future with all this retro going on...the Beautiful One's is one of my fav all time prince track,,its was brilliant ,,and Mountains was also amazing...Darling Nikki,wow.....i could go on.....i know the amount of work that goes into being a normal band,,but i believe tribute bands dont get the praise they deserve,especially tribute bands that take on artists like prince and bowie,two of the most amazing performers and artistes ever to grace this planet,,you put yopurselfs up there to be scrutinised and judged against the best,,and you Purple Rain succeeded with high honours..ive just notived your playing Diamond in Sutton in Ashfield in july,,ill see you there.,,,i know the crowd wasnt a sell out at the Flowerpot,but i hope you return ..the word is being spread about how good you was,so im sure theire will be a bigger turn out next time..thanks for a great night....the lead singer really captured the mannerism and his guitar playing was awesome,,Dr Fink was spot on,,the female vocalist very pleasent on the eyes ,,and the drummer and bass guitarist never missed a beat or note....10 outta 10 for the whole performance,,cheers again for a memorable night Discovered: after seeing the band ,i googled ya |

Nice to hear some of the songs that Prince never plays anymore like Sign o' the Times and Mountains - killer versions too. Jimi did Prince proud and the band were too funky.
