"Doctor" Tony Turrell - Keyboards, Electronics & Backing Vox
Tony's musical path is well chronicled on his own website (www.tonyturrell.co.uk or www.postboxmusic.net) so as a potted version here, Tony didn't start playing until he was 18, when he discovered the thing in the house he'd been using as a coat hanger was in actual fact a piano.
He's made up for lost time since, having spent many years working with ex-Marillion frontman Fish as his keyboardist, Musical Director and co-writer, as well as working with people such as Bruce Watson of Big Country, Mick Abrahams of Jethro Tull and Mark Brzezicki of Procul Harum, Pete Townshend and multi-session fame. We've worked out that this is purely down to there being a severe shortage of keyboard players in this country.
As the keyboard player, Tony is regarded by all else as the Geek of the band. They also probably don't like him, but as keyboard players are so difficult to find, they have to be nice to him.
